Wesley Dwight 'Wes' Allenbaugh

Wesley Dwight "Wes" Allenbaugh, 19, Manitowoc, Wis., died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1993, in Hays to Dwight Allenbaugh and Connie (DeFever) Peterson.

He was a student. He was a talented musician, enjoyed playing the drums, enjoyed his roles with Hays community theater, his dogs, and was generous, kind-hearted, and had a great sense of humor. He was energetic and enjoyed his many friends and friendships, and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Survivors include his parents, Dwight Allenbaugh and wife, Dereama, Hays, and Connie Peterson and husband, Douglas, Manitowoc; his grandmothers, Marcy Allenbaugh, Hays, and Lois DeFever, Cloverdale, Calif.; two sisters, Lindsey Urban and husband, Brent, and Ashley Bott and husband, Jamey, all of Hays; two stepbrothers, Ben and Joel Peterson, both of Manitowoc; two stepsisters, Lindsey Dovichi and husband, Todd, Andersonville, Ill., and Ashlee Haines and husband, Jake, Colby; two uncles, David DeFever and wife, Kathy, Cloverdale, and Daniel DeFever and wife, Agnes, Moreno Valley, Calif.; four aunts, Linda Hinca and husband, Mark, Salina, Jennifer Allenbaugh and partner, Donna Scott, Roberta Molstad, and Cheryl Herman and husband, Mark, all of Hays; seven nephews, Payton, Dawson and Brennon Garrison, Hays, Anderson Bott, Hays, and Lewis, Mack, and Levi Haines, all of Colby; two nieces, Delaney Bott and Blythe Urban, both of Hays; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dale Allenbaugh and Reuben DeFever.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Celebration Community Church, Hays; burial in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine, and from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Invisible Angels in care of the funeral home.
