Wilfred "Fritz" Dreiling, 71, Penokee, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

He was born July 17, 1940, in rural St. Peter to Charles Leonard and Beatrice (Riedel) Dreiling.

He married Deanna Stephen on Oct. 26, 1963, in St. Peter. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Penokee; two sons, Kevin Dreiling, Bennington, and Michael Dreiling, Penokee; a daughter, Carrie Gottschalk, Hays; four brothers, Leonard Dreiling, Arlington Heights, Ill., Elmer Dreiling, Medford, Ore., Ben Dreiling, Hill City, and Charles Dreiling Jr., Buffalo Grove, Ill.; three sisters, Helen Weidner, Grand Junction, Colo., Armella Nordstrom, Waukegan, Ill., Ellie Horcher, Crystal Lake, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter.

Visitation will be until 7 p.m. Thursday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City.

A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Cemetery Fund or Masses in care of the funeral home.
