William 'Bill' Ayres Jr.

William "Bill" Ayres Jr., 87, Phillipsburg, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg.

He was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Linn County to William and Vesta Grace (Lee) Ayres.

He was a tool pusher for an oilwell drilling company.

Survivors include his wife, Eva, of the home; two sons, Robert, Branson, Mo., and Ron Parker, Quemio; four daughters, Willma Beach, Lexington, Mo., Carla Marshall, Smith Center, Doris Radabaugh, Phillipsburg, and Paula Hartman, Concordia; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

He will lie in state from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice Services Inc. in care of the funeral home.
