William Gordon Pettijohn, 90, Stockton, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Alcona Township, Rooks County, Kan., to Lowell and Elsie Mae (Cook) Pettijohn.

He married Anna Jane Foley on Sept. 26, 1948, in Stockton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, William L. “Bill” Pettijohn and wife, Judy, Beloit; a daughter, Sharon M. Pettijohn, Stockton; two grandchildren, Alison Samuel and husband, Jeremy, and Amy Dougan and husband, Matt; a niece, Patricia Robinson Morgan and husband, Rusty; and a nephew, Charles Robinson and wife, Susan.

Services were Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Stockton; burial in Stockton City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Masses, Stockton Library Board or Stockton Meal Site in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.
