Ruth Ann Wingate, 86, Damar, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Dawson Place Nursing Home, Hill City.
She was born April 2, 1926, in Webster to George and Anna (Bender) Wise.
She married Ray Marion Wingate on March 6, 1953, in Plattsmouth, Neb. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1983. She was a waitress.
Survivors include a son, Ray Wingate, Damar; a stepson, Larry Wingate, Omaha, Neb.; three daughters, Mary Brooks, Luray, Barbara Eledge, Waldo, and Anna Gochanour, Cawker City; a sister, Ellen Kleinschmidt, Plainville; 16 granddchildren; many great-grandchilden; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stinemetz Funeral Home, Hill City; burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 5701 Center St., Omaha.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
