Eva E. Wood, 79, Palco, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.
She was born Sept. 21, 1929, near Palco to Louis and Mae (Morton) Marcotte. She graduated from the Enterprise Adventist Academy, Enterprise.
She married to Quinby Wood in July 1951 in Palco. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 2002. She was a secretary for Porter Memorial Hospital, Denver, for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Wood, Palco, and Stanley Wood, Denver; a brother, Orren Marcotte, Palco; three sisters, Eula Rathbun, Natoma, Lavata Scoggins, Aspen, Tenn., and Marietta Baldwin, Zurich; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Redline Church of God, near Palco; burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, near Palco.
Cremation is planed and there will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to Eva E. Wood Memorial Fund in care of the chapel.
