Goldie I. Wright, 98, Oakley, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.

She was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Winona, to Franklin and Ethel (Pettigrew) Ludlow.

She was a motel clerk.

She married Ole M. Wright on Jan. 1, 1929, in Hoxie. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Survivors include a son, Elmen "Bud" Wright, Oakley; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Verlin; four daughters, Freda Samuelson, LaDonna Lusk, Norma Jean Wright and Janet Arlene Wright; four brothers, Marion, Raymond, Truman and Kenneth Ludlow; and an infant sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Oakley Christian Church; burial in Oakley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.

Memorials are suggested to the Goldie Wright Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
