Betty Lou Haynes, 91, Lawrence, formerly of Russell, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Kansas City, Kan., to William O. and Katherine (Daugherty) Sublett. She married Darrell E. Haynes on Nov. 18, 1946, in Kansas City.
She attended two years at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by a son.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell. Friends can call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
