Chester A. 'Chet' Rumbaugh

Chester A. "Chet" Rumbaugh, 88, Phillipsburg, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Phillips County Retirement Center, Phillipsburg.

He was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Agra to Chester C. and Kate M. (Richard) Rumbaugh.

He married Darlene June Overman Nov. 9, 1985, in Phillipsburg.

He worked for the city of Phillipsburg as the water plant operator until retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Phillipsburg; a stepson, Everett "Bob" Hindman, Osborne; a stepdaughter, Donna Hindman, Phillipsburg; 10 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg; burial with military honors in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Phillipsburg.
