Adam Russell Cairns, 31, died Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Clay County Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 14, 1985, to Dean and Darice Cairns.
He attended Clifton-Clyde High School.
He was an avid mechanic and welder.
He enjoyed tinkering with engines, building derby cars, shooting both recreational and trap shooting.
He was a member of S.A.L. Post 227, Clifton.
Survivors include the love of his life, Kelsey Rae Longpine; his parents; three sisters, Sarah Brown and husband, Glenn, Carrie Herron and Julia Cairns; his nephews, James and Wyatt Brown, Stirling Peters and Alex Herron; a niece, Olivia Herron; and his fur babies, Buddy and Isabelle, all of Clifton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m Friday at Faith United Presbyterian Church, Clifton.
Family selected cremation to follow the services and private family inurnment will be at a later time.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.
Memorials are suggested to Clifton-Clyde Sharp Shooter’s in care of the mortuary.
