Harold Witthuhn, 92, Bazine, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Cedar Village, Ness City.
He was born West of Bazine to Louis and Anna (Mauth) Witthuhn. He was a 1942 graduate of Bazine High School.
He married Harriett VanDeGrift on June 10, 1947, in Ness City. She preceded him in death Nov. 15, 2000.
He was owner of Witthuhn Livestock Trucking for more than 50 years and kept his hand in farming wheat throughout his life.
He enjoyed traveling, dancing after retirement, and he always had a project going in the garage. He was involved in his church and always had time for his family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Eldon Witthuhn and wife, Teresa, Hays, Hal Witthuhn and wife, Sherry, Ellis, and Kevin Witthuhn and wife, Debbie, Bazine; seven grandchildren, Amy Cook and husband, Miles, WaKeeney, Sarah McCarty and husband, Chad, Hays, Ryan Shrader and Kandra and Kelly Witthuhn, all of Denver, Jonathan Witthuhn, Hays, Trent Witthuhn and Kendra, Bazine, and Wende Witthuhn, Salina; and six great-grandchildren, Hayden and Carson Cook, WaKeeney, Katie and Ethan McCarty, Hays, and Chloe and Abbott Shrader, Denver.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Verta on May 26, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bazine; burial in the Bazine Cemetery.
Viewing will be until 9 p.m. Thursday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
