Albert “Butch” L. Albers, 69, Ransom. died Saturday, July 22, 2017.

He was born Dec. 17, 1947, in La Crosse to Donald and Marguerite (Seuser) Albers. After graduating from high school in 1965, he attended Fort Hays State University, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Botany.

He married Jeanette Tillitson on Aug. 29, 1970. In 1975, they returned to Ransom where he worked with his father and brother on their family farm.

Survivors include his wife, of the family home; two daughters, Lee Ann Cramer, Scott City, and Wendy Pettit, Clay Center; two sisters, Donna Klitzke, Glendale, Ariz., and Linda Dietz, Hudson; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Praise Fellowship Church, Ransom; burial in Ransom Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

Memorials are suggested to Praise Fellowship Church or North Ness County EMS, in care of the funeral home.
