Kay Jacqueline Thomas, Denver, died Monday, July 17, 2017, at St Joseph’s hospital.
She was born in 1936 in Palco to Harold and Delphine Tucker, She was a 1958 graduate of Fort Hays State College.
She married Glenn Thomas. The couple moved to Denver to pursue teaching in the Denver Public Schools system. She later became a popular lecturer for Weight Watchers.
She enjoyed animals, particularly dogs, and they raised and showed purebred Chow-Chows; but Yorkshire Terriers were her special favorites as pets.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Kay Beatty, Denver; a brother, Ronald Tucker, Chicago; three grandchildren, Manda Cook, Micah Beatty and Matthew Beatty; two great-grandsons, Indiana (Indie) Cook and Daschel (Dash) Cook, all of Denver; and her last yorkie, Izzie.
Services will be at 11 am. Friday at West Bowles Community Church, Littleton, Colo.
