Robert Joseph Kepferle, 82, Quinter, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2017, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter, after suffering a massive heart attack.
He was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Dover, Colo., to Joseph Royal Kepferle and Dorothy Gladys Ayers. He was a 1952 graduate of Quinter High School.
He married Nellie Mae Jamison on Oct. 29, 1954, in Quinter. She preceded him in death July 20, 2016. He retired and closed Bob’s Repair in 2004 after 32 years.
Survivors include a son, Donald Kepferle, Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Shirley Comeau, Plainville, Kathleen Eichman, Aurora, Colo., Janell Ziegler, Grainfield, and Diana Kepferle, Lenexa; four brothers, Roy Kepferle, Springfield, Va., Jim Kepferle, Cody, Wyo., Dwight Kepferle, Billings, Mont., and Loyd Kepferle, Lummi Island, Wash.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Quinter United Methodist Church; burial in Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter.
