Laura E. Booth, 89, of Hutchinson, died on August 10th, 2017, at the Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. She was born January 9, 1928, in Weslaco, Texas, to Clay and Minnie (Osborn) Thomas.

Laura E. Booth, 89, of Hutchinson, died on August 10th, 2017, at the Mennonite Friendship Communities in South Hutchinson. She was born January 9, 1928, in Weslaco, Texas, to Clay and Minnie (Osborn) Thomas.
She married Glenn R. Booth on May 29, 1946, in Arkansas, Kansas. He died July 4, 1996.
Glenn and Laura resided in Ashland, Kansas for 20 years, before relocating to Hutchinson. Laura worked as the Reno County Treasurer for 13 years, as the Office Deputy. She retired from her position in 1990.
Laura was a former member of the Eastern Star in Hutchinson and the 1st Christian Church in Ashland, Kansas.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her spouse, Glenn; and a daughter, Glenda Cooley.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Booth and companion Kathleen Besthorn; son, Randy Booth; brother, John Thomas and spouse Hazel; granddaughter, Melissia Sanders and husband Dean Duryee; four great-grandchildren, Dakotah, Miriah, Cyan and Ceirra; two great-great-grandchildren,Saharrah and Kallen; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 16th, one hour prior to service time.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, at the Mennonite Friendship Communities Chapel, 600 W. Blanchard, South Hutchinson.
Burial will be the same day, at 3:30 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery in Ashland, Kansas.
