Maxine (Wilson) Peier, 83, Wichita, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, in Wichita.
She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Pond Creek, Okla., to Orville H. and Edna Lynn Wilson. She graduated from Pond Creek High School and earned an associate degree in business from Oklahoma State University.
She was an employee of the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 26 years, most recently serving as the area administrative assistant for the Soil Conservation Service in Hays until her retirement in 1994.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, J. Dale Peier, Wichita; a son, Jeffrey Peier and wife, Dianne, Wichita; a daughter, Lynn Peier-Able and husband, Tim, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Dr. Keith Wilson, Enid, Okla.; a grandson, Grant Peier, Overland Park; and several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eugene Wilson and Charles Wilson.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pond Creek Cemetery.
