Dolores M. Gottschalk, 82, Hays, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Hays Good Samaritan Society.
She was born June 15, 1935, in Victoria to Richard and Amelia (Hammerschmidt) Stang.
She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High School in Hays.
She married Leon Gottschalk on April 11, 1955, in Hays. She was a homemaker, secretary and volunteer.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.
She enjoyed sewing, baking, reading and attending K-State football games.
Survivors include her husband, Hays; two sons, Lloyd Gottschalk and wife, Lisa, Centennial, Colo., and Richard “Rich” Gottschalk and wife, Trina, Hays; three daughters, Carol Hall and husband, Robert, Leavenworth, Donna Gottschalk, Louisville, Colo., and Amy Toplikar, Hilliard, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren; Natalie and Clayton Hall, Amelia and Lucy Geiszler, Allison, Matthew and Maria Toplikar, Cristian, Adam, Jadyn and Shalee Gottschalk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Stang; and two sisters, Mary Jane and Gladys Mae Stang.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.Thursday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, both at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 2509 Vine, KS 67601.
A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, followed by a Daughters of Isabella rosary, both at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church rectory fund or HaysMed Hospice in care of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mary Elizabeth Maternity Home in care of the funeral home.
