Leonard “Lenny” LeRoy Marcotte, 51, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Graham County Hospital.

He was born April 14, 1966, in Honolulu to Thelma Kaolelopono and Leverett Marcotte. He attended Palco High School.

He married Laura Lynn Roy. He was involved in the Palco community, serving as part of the Palco Fire Department, City Council and the construction of the McKenna Center. He was involved in town team sports such as volleyball, basketball and softball. As a child he farmed for George Whisman and continued farming into adulthood. He worked for the KDOT, Coffeyville Resources and Dan’s Dirt Work. He enjoyed to work and continued working until his death.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Laura Marcotte; his children, Matthew Marcotte and Holly, Brittanie Hammes and Eric and Courtney Marcotte and Jon; his grandchildren, Ava and Leland Marcotte, Kaitlynn and Gavin Hammes and Layne Mengelkoch; his father and mother-in-law, Stan and Diana Roy, his father, Leverett Marcotte; and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Thelma Momi Kaolelopono.

His children will have a celebration of life late next summer when his son, Matthew, returns from a deployment overseas. Memorials are suggested to Palco Fire Department.
