Eileen (Meyers) Chesney, 93, Natoma, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at her son’s home in Stockton.

She was born May 9, 1924, in Woodston to Marcel and Amy (Guthrie) Meyers. She was a graduate of Woodston High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

She married Homer Bruce Chesney on April 6, 1947, in Woodston. He preceded her in death March 19, 2004. She worked at Plainville, Osborne and Russell sale barns.

Survivors include four sons, Ronald M. Chesney, Earl L. Chesney and Lawrence W. Chesney, all of Natoma, and Everett G. Chesney, Stockton; a sister, Donalee Circle, Woodston; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Chesney.

Services will be at 10:30 a..m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Plainville; burial in Survey Cemetery, south of Woodston.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorial are suggested to United Methodist Church of Plainville and Hospice of Hays Med in care of the mortuary.
