Susan Diane McDonald Mishler, 53, Ransom, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Ness County Hospital.

She was born Aug. 19, 1964, in Ransom to Joseph and Barbara Deiser McDonald. She was a lifetime resident of Ness County. She received an associate’s degree in business.

She married Alan Mishler on Feb. 4, 2015, in Jamaica. She was a licensed cosmetologist and registered nurse. She was the former director of Rhode Island Suites Care Center, Ransom, and was the director of Cedar Village Care Center, Ness City. She received the National Nurse of the Year Award and the PEAK Award.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Ransom.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Justin McDonald, Ransom, and Beau Mishler and wife, Jessica, Haysville; two daughters, Tanci Mishler and husband, Miguel, Tampa, Fla., and Brianna Hall and husband, Jon, Kansas City, Mo.; her mother, Ransom; a brother, William McDonald, Ransom; two sisters, Cynthia Maier and husband, Steve, Brownell, and Debra Hamilton, Ness City; and eight grandchildren, Dakoda, Tage, Nathan, Christopher, Dominic, Jayden, Norah and Ada.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; and a nephew, TJ.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Church, Ransom; burial in Ransom Cemetery.

Friends can call until 9 p..m. Monday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.

Memorials are suggested to Cedar Village Long Term Care, Ness City, or Rhode Island Suites Long Term Care, Ransom, in care of the funeral home.
