Ronald E. Colglazier, 82, Russell, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born March 14, 1935, to Kenneth and Alice (Jennings) Colglazier. He was a 1954 graduate of Monument High School, attended Fort Hays State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture.

He married Elin K. McCandless on May 11, 1960, in Oakley. He was an electrician and was the owner and operator of Colglazier Electric for more than 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1956 to 1958.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, John Colglazier, Tolar, Texas, and Rob Colglazier North Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Don Colglazier, Longmont, Colo., and Tom Colglazier, Phoenix; three sisters, Barbara Lett and Becky Hill, both of Wichita, and Ann Beesley, McCune; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Russell. Services will conclude at the church and family will have food and fellowship at the church fellowship hall following Mass.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with family greeting guests from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to COPD Foundation in care of the mortuary.
