Freda R. Hunt, 77, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Grainfield, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Jacksonville.

She was born March 22, 1941, in rural Thomas County to Herbert A. and Lillian M. (Kleymann) Queen.

She was a Information & Referral Specialist for Northwest Kansas Agency on Aging.

Survivors include three sons, William W. Dossey, Oliver Springs, Tenn., Randy A. Dossey, Fleming Island, Fla., and Frederick A. Hunt, Jacksonville; a daughter, Catherine M. Nelson, Deland, Fla.; three brothers, Herbert F. Queen, Grainfield, Henry Queen, Bremerton, Wash., and Leonard J. Queen, Salina; two sisters, Edna M. Queen, Lakewood, Calif., and Sylvia Tanner, Independence, Mo.; two step-brothers, Gerhard “Gary” May and David May; three step-sisters, Marilyn May, Rose Nickelson and Karen May; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter,

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie; burial in Grainfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
