Billie Dean “Bill” Delka, 72, Guide Rock, Neb., died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, after a long fight with chronic leukemia at his home.
He was born May 10, 1945, in Red Cloud, Neb.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene (Schmidtberger) Delka; two sons, Les Delka and wife, Jennifer, Lincoln, Neb., and Chris Delka and wife, Gaye, Pierce, Neb.; three daughters, Julie Delkamiller and husband, Kory, Omaha, Neb., Amy Howard and husband, Brian, Papillion, Neb., Jill Edgren and husband, Kevin, Grand Island, Neb.; seven brothers, Neil and wife, Audyne, Don and wife, Alice, Ted and wife, Myrtie, Frank and wife, Connie, Ray and wife, Lee, Dale and wife, Diane, and Joe and wife, Joanne; three sisters, Betty Ehlers and husband, Dale, and Elaine and Doris Epke; 15 grandchildren, Maia, Lydia and Naomi, Emily and Andrew, Dylan, Dalton and Lauren, Joey, Lucy, Hunter, and Austin, Ikaiah, Hayden, and Gabriella; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Red Cloud; burial in Guide Rock Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with family present at the church.
A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Red Cloud Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Guide Rock American Legion in care of Williams Funeral Home, Red Cloud.
