Arthur Dale Glenn, 92, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, in Overland Park.
He was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Salina to Arthur and Della Mae (Wilvers) Glenn. He was a 1942 graduate of Salina High School. He attended Kansas University and was a 1949 graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.
He married Lois Maxine Summers in June 1946. He practiced optometry for 52 years in Russell. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Glenn and Wade Glenn; a daughter, Marilyn Staab; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial of ashes in Russell City Cemetery with masonic rites by Russell Masonic Lodge. Friends can greet the family at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Shriners Children’s Research Hospital or Kansas City Hospice in care of the mortuary.
