Rose (Legleiter) Pfannenstiel, 102, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

She was born Dec. 18, 1915, in Liebenthal to Christian and Margaret Legleiter.

She married Clarence Pfannenstiel on Aug. 9, 1937, in Hays. After 65 years of marriage, he preceded her in death April 8, 2003. She was a retired facility painter for Champion Petroleum throughout Kansas.

She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson, former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays and a member of Sunflower Polka Club, Hays.

She was a master quilter and would donate quilts to the military for soldiers’ use in hospitals.

Survivors include 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Delane, Terry and Lonnie; six brothers and four sisters.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Old Mission–Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson; burial will be at noon Tuesday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

A gathering for friends and family will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
