Jeanie Siler, 78, Prairie Village, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park.

She was born July 1, 1939, in Larned to Ross N. and Agda (Pierson) Morrow.

She married Ken Boomhower on Aug. 21, 1960, in Garfield. He preceded her in death in May 1973. She later married Dr. Eugene T. “Gene” Siler on Nov. 27, 1976, in Wichita. He preceded her in death April 13, 2008. She studied elementary education at Fort Hays State University before settling down as a homemaker to her family. Her education fueled a lifetime of interest in psychology, sociology, health, nutrition and philosophy. She continued to take classes and study a variety of topics throughout her life.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Commerford, Prairie Village, and Kristi Mills, Pismo Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Ross, Jane and Amelia Commerford, Julian Mills and Christian Coleman.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Boomhower; a sister, Audrey Morrow; and a brother, Norman Morrow.

Private family services will be at a later date; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
