Clinton Robert “Bobby” Minium, 37, Hays, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, while in the care of Kristin, Rylie and Bryson Fairbank.
He was born June 19, 1981, to Clinton and Dixie McIlrath Minium. He graduated from Felten Middle School and Hays High School
Survivors include his mother, Dixie McIlrath Minium; two sisters, Kenda Eloriaga and husband, Elbert, Denver, and Kristin Fairbank, Hays; his niece and nephew, Rylie and Bryson Fairbank; his aunt and uncle, Jan, and Bandy Brownlee, Bristol, Tenn.; many cousins, friends, caregivers; and his dog, Zuri.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents Bob and Dixie McIlrath and Opal and Harry Minium.
He had a Special Olympics team named after him, “Team B. O. B. Breaking Our Barriers.” He brought joy and laughter to those who cared for him. He had a great sense of humor and his legacy will be remembered as one who taught others how to advocate for those with special needs.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Lebanon Cemetery, in rural Kingman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date in care of the funeral chapel.
