Alice Marie Wasinger, 90, Hutchinson, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born July 26, 1928, in Victoria to John and Catherine (Schmidtberger) Rupp.

She married Alfred ‘Al’ Wasinger on Aug, 28, 1951. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 2010. She worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Church of the Holy Cross Altar Society and Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson.

She was an avid golfer, gardener, and wonderful German cook. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed serenading her family with her harmonica during every holiday and birthday, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include three sons, Andy Wasinger and wife, Karen, Hutchinson, Al Wasinger and wife, Terri, Owasso, Okla., and Tom Wasinger and wife, Samantha, Wichita; two daughters, Cathey Donohue and husband, Patrick, Blue Springs, Mo., and Linda Childs and husband, Marc, Wichita; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first infant granddaughter, Tara Donohue; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Friends can call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, both at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Church of the Holy Cross in care of the mortuary.
