Loren E. Dillon, 79, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at St. Frances Hospital, Wichita.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1938, in Webster to Austin and Edith Dillon.

He enjoyed his work in the oil field as operations manager with Great Guns and district manager with Welex (A division of Halliburton) for over 30 years. In his retirement, he worked at Richie Sand, Durham and First Student School Services. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving for two years.

Survivors include his wife, Sharron Ross Dillon; two daughters, Kellie Leiker and husband, Larry, and Kimberly Loibl and husband, Glenn; a brother, Mitchell Dillon and wife, Sherene; a sister, Patricia Herl and husband, Dan; four grandchildren, Brandi Wise, Brandt Wise and wife, Stephanie, Brad Leiker and wife, Ashley, and BreAnne Leiker and fiance, Freddy; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Alice Bowens, Palco.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Marilyn Dillon and Pamela Dillon-Werth and husband, Andy.

A celebration of his life will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 7 at VFW, Hays.
