Floris R. Weiser, 95, Oakley, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Logan County Manor, Oakley.

He was born Dec. 29, 1922, in Loretta to Hugo and Barbara (Urban) Weiser. He was a 1941 graduate of Healy High School.

He married Viola Weber on Jan. 8, 1946. She preceded him in death. Together they owned and operated the Dairy King for 26 years in Oakley. He was a U.S. veteran, serving during World War II.

He was an avid relic hunter for over 40 years. His collection is housed at the Fort Wallace Museum, Wallace. He enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, hot wheels and pens.

Survivors include four three sons, Lonnie Weiser and wife, Leta, Randy Weiser and wife, Carol and Mickey and wife, Brenda; a daughter, Sherry Schwartz and husband, Paul; a brother-in-law, Ron Weber; two sisters-in-law, Mary Garnhart and Kathy Weber; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents; two sisters, Viola Seifried and Violet Weber.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, Oakley; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Wallace Museum, St. Joseph Church, or the Logan County Manor, in care of the mortuary.
