Viola Rohr, 88, Hays, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Via Christi Village, Hays.
She was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Antonino to Frank and Rosa (Klaus) Werth.
She married Jerry Rohr on May 2, 1949. He preceded her in death March 8, 1986. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She enjoyed doing yard work, gardening and was extremely devoted to her family.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Rohr and wife, Sue, Yukon, Okla., and Larry Rohr and wife, Mary, Hays; two daughters, Gloria Fjelstad and husband, Jerry, Laurel, Mont., and Jerri Ann Leiker and husband, Lester, Hays; four sisters, Sister Clarella Werth, Milwaukee, Alfrieda Pfeifer and Rose Ann Zimmerman, both of Hays, and Esther Gottschalk, Schoenchen; eight grandchildren, Kierston Branstetter, Nathan Fjelstad, Clint Rohr, Stacie Rohr, Jerrett Leiker, Landon Leiker, Austin Rohr and Aaron Rohr; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alvin Werth, Eugene Werth and Gilbert Werth; an infant brother, Gilbert Werth; three sisters, Frances Dreiling, Alice Windholz and Merilda Randa; and an infant sister, Alice Werth.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, both at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
A VFW service will be at 6:15 p.m. Friday, followed by a combined rosary and vigil at 6:30 p.m., both at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or Hospice of Hays Medical Center in care of the funeral chapel.
