Larry D. Schemper, 62, Almena, died Monday, December 10, 2018, in a single vehicle accident in Norton County.

He was born Oct. 20, 1955, in Norton to Jerry and Ailene (Mann) Schemper.  He was a custom harvester and farmer.

He was united in marriage to Cynthia VanKooten on Aug. 9, 1980, in Orleans, Neb.  She survives.

Survivors also include his son, Luke Schemper of Weinert, Texas; two daughters, Leanne Bewley of Alma, Neb., and Laura Schemper of Kearney, Neb.; three grandchildren; his mother, Ailene Houghton of Phillipsburg; two brothers, LaVern & Lonny Schemper, both of Holdrege; three sisters, Vernita Roe of Logan, Jeanie Simon of Evanston, Wyo., and Becky Schemper of Norman, Okla.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Almena Congregational Church, Almena.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Almena.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.   The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel.
