Donna Elaine Pfannenstiel, 67, Schoenchen, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

Donna Elaine Pfannenstiel, 67, Schoenchen, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 19, 1946, in Munjor to Martin and Bridget (Burgardt) Leiker.

She married Ronald F. Pfannenstiel on Feb. 19, 1966, in Munjor. She was former cook at Everybody's restaurant and a day-care provider for many years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen, and the church Social Justice group.

She was an avid collector of dolls and trinkets. She enjoyed drawing, singing and flowers, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, of the home, three sons, Kip Pfannenstiel and wife, Tracy, Shelbina, Mo., Marty Pfannenstiel and wife, Mindi, Mulvane, and Glenn Pfannenstiel, McCracken; a daughter, Kelly Legleiter and husband, Mark, Topeka; two brothers, Virgil Leiker and wife, Diane, Hays, and Wayne Leiker and wife, Edith, El Dorado; two sisters, Darlene Kuhn, Russell, and Wilma Engel and husband, Bob, Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, Conner Legleiter, Parker Pfannenstiel, Aaron Pfannenstiel, Austin Pfannenstiel, Chayton Pfannenstiel, Brad Pfannenstiel, Easton Pfannenstiel, Maci Pfannenstiel, Riley Pfannenstiel, Mason Pfannenstiel and Dylan Legleiter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Juanita Ruder and Betty JoAnn Leiker; a grandchild, Taylor Pfannenstiel; and two brothers-in-law, Ralph Kuhn and Wilfred Ruder.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen; burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine.

A St. Anthony Altar Society rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Catholic Church or St. Anthony Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
