Elmer Keith Wierman, 84, Minneapolis, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society.

Elmer Keith Wierman, 84, Minneapolis, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society.

He was born Oct. 12, 1929, near McCracken to Margaret Loretta (McGaughey) and William James Wierman.

He married Wanda Judeen Snodgrass on Nov. 14, 1951, in McCracken. He was a farmer and rancher in Ness County before retiring to Minneapolis in 2008.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tom Wierman and wife, Paula, Wichita, Ed Wierman, Chicago, and Lawrence Wierman and wife, Elaine, Brownell; three daughters, Judy Schreiber and husband, Jim, Hays, Loretta Basgall and husband, Tony, and Anita Laws and husband, Darin, Minneapolis; a brother, Francis Wierman and wife, Roberta, McCraken; a sister, Betty Greenway, McCracken; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Wierman; his siblings, Gertrude Brackney, Marie Pfannenstiel, Bill Wierman, Mildred Kraisinger, Delores Clumsky, Eugene Wierman, James "Whitie" Wierman, Albert Wierman and Marge Linenberger.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Church, Ransom; burial in Vansburg Cemetery, Brownell.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

A reception will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Minneapolis.
