Juliette Ann Schreiner
Juliette Ann Schreiner, 90, Hays, formerly of Ogallah, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Via Christi Assisted Living, Hays.
She was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Damar to Euclide and Marie (Benoit) Ferland. She was a 1941 graduate of Damar High School.
She married Richard Schreiner on Oct. 20, 1941, in Damar. He preceded her in death June 5, 2011. She was co-owner and operator of Schreiner's Inc., Ogallah.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Ellis.
She enjoyed painting, crocheting and baking for family.
Survivors include three sons, Richard A. Schreiner and wife, Lucy, Tacoma, Wash., Bernard J. Schreiner and wife, Valree, Ogallah, and Alvin R. Schreiner and wife, Danene, Woodland Park, Colo.; four daughters, Deanne M. Level and husband, Jack, Plano, Texas, Terri A. Budzyna, Springfield, Mo., Nanette S. Woodall and husband, Joel, WaKeeney, and Cindy L. Werth and husband, Gary, Quinter; three brothers, Levi Ferland, Wichita, and Gilbert and Alcid Ferland, both of Hays; four sisters, Ruth Rempe, Leota, Jacqueline Steckline, Ogallah, Loretta Zweifel, Luray, and Elizabeth Ferland, Russell; 23 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Archil Ferland; and a sister, Marcella Ribordy.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeeney.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at the church.
A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by a vigil, both at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Building Fund or Masses.
