Olivia (Kuhn) Windholz
Olivia (Kuhn) Windholz, 88, Victoria, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Good Samaritan Center, Ellis.
She was born Dec. 5, 1925, on the family farm northwest of Victoria to Anton and Mary (Hoffman) Kuhn.
She married Bernard "Ben" Windholz on Oct. 30, 1944, in Victoria. He preceded her in death Jan. 23, 2001.
She was a member of the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria. She was a homemaker, a farmer's wife and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Leland Windholz and wife, Mary Ann, Victoria; a son-in-law, Leon Huser, Vincent; two brothers, Alfred Kuhn and wife, Lucille, and Alphonse "Ollie" Kuhn, both of Victoria; two sisters, Lorinda Schmeidler and Henrietta Kuhn, both of Hays; seven grandchildren, Kevin Huser and wife, Kathy, Galen Huser and wife, Shelly, Geralyn Schippers and husband, Troy, Randy Huser, Glenn Huser and wife, Brandy, Amorette Windholz, and Garett Windholz and wife, Meredith; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elsie Marie Huser; three brothers, Edmund Kuhn, Emil Kuhn and Ermin "Ernie" Kuhn; four sisters, Albina Dreiling, Regine Kuhn, Helen Dinkel and Margaret Kuhn; and three infant sisters, Albina, Mary and Henrietta.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Basilica of St. Fidelis; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery.
A vigil and parish rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Basilica of St. Fidelis.
