Viola Marie 'Vi' Lindeman

Viola Marie "Vi" Lindeman, 90, Oakley, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Logan County Manor, Oakley.

She was born July 30, 1923, in Sheridan County to Thomas and Julia (Mumm) Knopp.

She married Oliver Lindeman on Feb. 11, 1947, in Selden. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Lindeman, Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Patricia Ryan, Oakley, and Kathleen Ryan and husband, Bill, Colby; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Clarence Knopp; a sister, Louise Schumacher; a son, Charles; an infant daughter, Vivian, and a son-in-law, Tom Ryan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in St. Paul Cemetery, Angelus.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.

A rosary/wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
