Prairie Writers Circle writers and friends:

Our circle of essayists has covered many ideas that play into how humans can gain a sustainable way of life, and we hope this has informed that progress.

Now The Land Institute wants to focus its communications on changing public policy for agriculture, the organization's chief area of interest. Occasional commentaries along this line still might come your way, and we would appreciate your consideration of them.

But after eight years and 195 op-eds, the Prairie Writers Circle is going to pasture. We two former newspaper journalists have greatly enjoyed the work. To our writers, to the editors who used their pieces, and to friends who were interested enough to subscribe to the service: Thank you.
