Noise machine

I noticed in the Feb. 2 Hays Daily News the right-wing noise machine was running full-bore or boring. These scare and divide tactics passed on by Faux News and right-wing radio to knaves who feel compelled to share this doom and gloom. The motive is get the talking points out to those who avoid Faux and right-wing radio. The talking points are propaganda intended to scare everyone away from new ideas.

Enough said, health care reform in the current version is not ideal but one important aspect is missed. Eliminating pre-existing conditions will allow many to shop for health care coverage and entice health insurance carriers to encourage better health. Most health care costs in this nation are related to lifestyle choices. New ideas are money to community banks that will help small business. New investment in alternative energy which includes, drum roll please, oil exploration. The best new idea, which is really an old idea, is reforming financial institutions. One Great Depression and one Great Recession should be evidence to not ignore the need for established financial regulations.

Finally, you have nothing to fear but propaganda from the right-wing noise machine.
