Guns and Bibles

Shooters and gun owners, etc., please note Barack Obama is not our friend. B.O. and his "Chicago mob" minions and most of his "czars," all 43 of them, are rabidly anti-gun. Surely you remember his dismissive and disdainful words of four years ago when he said "They cling to their guns and Bibles." That's you and me.

During his second debate, he let slip he is going after the AR-style rifles and handguns; i.e. he is going to ban them if re-elected. Yes, yours. B.O. told Sarah Brady of Handgun Control he'll do what they want, but he had to "operate under the radar for now."

B.O., in the first three years, didn't submit/pass a budget. In his 2013 budget, there are six attacks against gun owners and the Second Amendment. Ouch.

Blaming guns for crime is like blaming football sports for pedophilia, i.e. Penn State.

All tyrants disarm their subjects/citizens.

Let us consider a little of B.O.'s record on gun rights. He voted for prosecution of people who use firearms in self defense.

He opposed all right-to-carry laws, even though 40 some states have passed them.

He endorsed a complete ban on handgun ownership. He appointed two anti-gun Supreme Court justices and will appoint more if not turned out to pasture. Vote for Romney and Sue Boldra; they are on our side of the gun question.

Please allow me to digress with a personal aside. I knew Sue and Carl when Carl first started his business by selling reloading supplies from his garage and eventually into the sporting goods store. Irregardless of B.O., Carl and Sue "built it." Good, honest people.

Carl and LeRoy Schmidtberger, Randy Darvis, Charlie Leiker and others whose names I've forgotten here started the Hays Gun Club. It was a Metallic Silhouette Pistol range at first and through hard work and their money, etc. they "built it" into the good range it is today. Fort Hays State University and its good shooting program can thank those early people. I certainly do as I have many good memories of shooting there through the years and meeting many good folks from all walks of life.

Remind me to tell you sometime about my shooting competition years in various disciplines that covered the middle of the U.S. from Arizona even into Canada once. To my knowledge, the shooting sports are about the only one where a dirt farmer can enter the same competition and rub elbows with and visit with even shoot on the same relay or squad with Olympic champions, world record holders, national champions, etc., as I have.

My point of all this is: Send B.O. back to the Chicago gangster land he came from. Yes, we're not ashamed out here in the hinterland to admit we like our "guns and Bibles." On that vein, let me leave you with a thought: "Exercise daily; take a walk with God."
