Diehl endorsement

Printer-friendly version

I want to thank all of my loyal followers and supporters for all they done for me and the local election for District 2 commissioner. Those of you close to my campaign knew that we were hoping to get about a third of the vote, which is what we got.

Our primary mission was to see how much real support the incumbent had. Since he pulled out all the stops and only received 400-and-some votes, 80 percent of which were friends and families of the people who will benefit financially from the wind farms on their property, we now know that he is very vulnerable.

In fact, if you add up my votes and the Republican votes, you will see he was outnumbered. In sticking to our long-term plan, it is now very important that all of you throw your support to Glenn Diehl. I understand many of the Republican (wind farm in the backyard supporters) actually switched to the Democratic Party to back the incumbent. So, do not feel bad if you are a Democrat and vote for Diehl, the Republican candidate.

We have a great opportunity here to get rid of another sitting commissioner. If you are against the $10 million Hadley expansion and if you are against the good-old-boy network regarding countywide zoning, please join me in supporting Glenn Diehl in the November general election.

If we unitize and get out to vote, we should easily beat out Dennis and his 400-plus cronies.
