With friends like these ...

To quote President Barack Obama's pastor and mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "The chickens have come home to roost."

Over the years, the United Nations has sought more than 60 sanctions against Israel, each time the U.S. voted no. Thus, they could not be enforced. Now, both China and Russia have voted no regarding military action against Syria.

Of course, this should not come as a surprise to anyone who can and does do his or her own thinking. For far too long, those in Washington have taken to being the black-booted policemen of the world.

Syria is in the midst of a civil war (like Egypt and Libya were) yet the United States will not call it a civil war -- for then it would take away any legitimate excuse to invade. Period.

Those in Washington are always looking for the next bogeyman, for they never pass up a chance to take us further in debt, use our military men and women to fight and die for a cause that concerns us not, and to keep the sheep (two-legged, here at home) thinking they are fighting terrorists.

What most of the sheep do not understand, or prefer not to know, is that most of the trouble in the Middle East is stirred up by Israel.

It wants to be the superpower in that region so it can control, dominate and plunder that part of the world.

The drums of war have been beating to attack Iran, though even the IAEA has never confirmed that Iran is making nuclear weapons.

Israel has many nuclear weapons, yet they have never allowed nor will they anyone to inspect them.

And, of course, the lie that the leader of Iran said that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth is yet another bald-faced lie.

If America were truly a Christian Republic, then our so-called leaders would be attacking Israel for the many years it has murdered, bombed and held captive the people of Palestine.

We are told Israel is our friend. Yeah right. Take away the $4 billion We, the People, give them each year, along with military hardware, etc., and they would turn against us faster than a rabid dog.
