Prayer for the country

Wednesday will mark an anniversary: three full years of monthly prayer for our country. In those three years, faithful gather once a month at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Liebenthal for an hour of prayer for the many needs of our beloved country.
In all this time, only once was the prayer hour cancelled, due to a severe ice storm that endangered anyone who tried to go anywhere. Those who called were urged to stay home and pray there.
We especially focus prayer for much needed moisture and for the president and all our elected leaders -- for we fully believe that without God's help and guidance, this country will not thrive and continue as the republic our Founding Fathers intended.
This is an open invitation for those who haven't come but keep thinking about it: Come and join us this Wednesday.
