Only in today's America
I am convinced that in no time in this country's history have we had so many mind-boggling, surreal events when it comes to politics. The number of bizarre occurrences is unprecedented.
As a tennis instructor, I can't help but think (often) of legendary tennis star John McEnroe's famous comment "You can't be serious." I think readers will have the same reaction as I present some facts.
Why in the world would Americans put an inexperienced man in the White House? We gave the job of most powerful man in the world to a man just because he was black and sounded good about hope and change. Only in today's America.
The press, consequently voters, completely ignored the early years of Obama who claimed in one of his books he drank heavily, did drugs and sought out radical students along with Marxist professors to associate with while in college. His mentor while growing up was communist Frank Davis.
Only in today's America could such questionable behavior be ignored. Journalistic ethics is clearly dead in today's America. Obama was not vetted in 2008 as media wanted Obama in the White House in the worst (pun intended) way.
Following Obama's college days, he associated with even more radicals. That woul-be terrorist Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadette Dorn, Frank Rezko, and the most radical pastor on planet earth by the name of Jeremiah Wright who preached G.D. America. But nobody seemed to care, particularly mainstream media even with a new book now claiming Wright was offered $150,000 by the Obama camp to shut up at election time in 2008. The mainstream media just won't go there.
When was the last time America had a president whose Christianity was questioned, as millions believe Obama may be Muslim? Think 9/11.
Obama ran his '08 campaign that he would change Washington, which so many voters wanted. Washington is as broken as ever, even worse. His campaign of a transparent administration is a sham. No lobbyists in his administration turns out to be a lie. If one looks at the White House guest book logging in visitors (Hollywood, Soros, Stern, Buffet, etc.), we all would say "You can't be serious."
Only in today's America could we have a president well into his fourth year blame all of our economic problems on Bush. Who cares that Obama spent $5 trillion plus in less than four years to his predecessors' $4 trillion in eight years and his current budgets call for more and more spending with no cuts? The press sure doesn't care, nor do millions of voters.
An eye-opening letter to the editor a few weeks ago was as right on when the astute writer wrote (to paraphrase): Obama is just one person but we have millions who would gladly re-elect a president who has failed miserably in so many ways. Therein lies America's biggest problem.
Only in today's America could we have such an out-of-touch electorate so engrossed in liberalism Obama could be re-elected no matter what he does.
My letter is just the tip of the iceberg. There are scandals galore with this administration as you will see later.
