Appeal to morality

Yup, I am scared to death.

I don't recall in previous presidential elections so many political pundits claiming Nov. 6 will be the most important election of our lifetime. Just maybe there's a whole lot of truth to those claims. Wouldn't you think that would get everybody's attention?

We're headed for bankruptcy with overspending by Democrats. America is losing its status as the world's leader in protecting the rights of others. We've become a nanny state where half the country expects government to take care of them. Government has become so big there is fraud, corruption, lack of transparency and an administration thumbing its nose at our Constitution like never before in our history.

Let's not forget the Democrats have pretty well controlled Congress since January 2007 and, I ask, what do we have to show for it? This country, as we speak, is in a world of hurt in every way one looks at it.

Have readers noticed that we now have more people killing themselves (suicides) than people killed on our highways where missiles at 75-plus are the norm. What's the point? People feel hopeless. There's nothing to live for. We've become "God" less.

A good case can be made that our president is more Muslim than Christian. He even said we're no longer a Christian nation. Obama was raised, in part, in the Islamic faith and has been pandering to the Muslim world. He's been known to take "our Creator" out of the Declaration of Independence numerous times.

What will it take to convince Obamists around here, even though in the minority (including friends and relatives of mine), that we need to change a whole lot of things asap. Better late than never won't work four years from now. We better get it right this November.

We have the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression. Maybe even more perplexing we are on a cultural path where morals and values have never been worse since we became a nation.

I am appalled. I know really good people (friends and relatives and acquaintances) that will vote to re-elect Obama no matter what. If I can't get through to them on economics (the pocket book) maybe I can appeal to their sense of decency; call it morality.

Obama is this country's most prolific pro abortion president. Our president is deliberately creating a majority coalition of people dependent on government for a whole host of things in order to get their votes? That is the height of immorality, next to abortion on demand. Our president even supports infanticide. He intends to destroy traditional marriage. What about lie after lie after lie by our president?

Obama's liberalism is secularism. Where's this country's values when schools are handing out condoms to 12-year-olds and providing the morning-after pill? Nudity and promoting the gay lifestyle on the TV tube has skyrocketed. Out-of-wedlock births exceed those from marriages. The point being, we are one big mess culturally, as well as economically.

Speaking of morals, nobody will ever convince me that our administration is fighting voter ID at the ballot box for any other reason than to cheat, to steal the election.

To my friends, relatives, (anybody and everybody): If you are an Obamist, don't be surprised if I confront you by saying "Have you lost your mind?" "What in the world are you thinking?" "You can't possibly know what is going on." And, that's just for starters.

It's all about a born again economic and Christian America in November, or our demise.
