The unborn, miracles or refuse?

Despite a small decrease in the number of abortions, there still are more than 1 million abortions in the U.S. each year. The holocaust continues. The unborn have an inalienable right to life, even if they do not have rights to own property or any other personhood rights.

Some people examine human development from fertilized egg through various stages of life and propound unborn life is not human, defining it from its appearance -- especially at its early development or from abnormalities, from its mental development or from its potential viability outside the womb.

Humans differ from all other life by uniquely possessing a soul as well as life, both beginning at conception. With respect to extreme abnormalities, let the Lord judge ensoulment; they are his creations. The life force alone escapes our comprehension, but a soul is even more incomprehensible. I call them mysteries and miracles.

The Lord's command to increase and multiply (Genesis 9:7) did not contain the qualifications, unless it is inconvenient, the fetus is abnormal or you believe there is overpopulation. In this matter, our guides should include, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you ... " (Jeremiah 1:5) and "The Lord will require an accounting for the life of another human being" (Genesis 9:5). Using the argument legalized abortion prevents inducing abortion with a coat hanger in some alley is offsetting one wrong with another. In either situation, an innocent life is destroyed.

The unborn committed no crime to deserve death. But by declaring them non-human, their destruction can be justified and consciences relieved.

The Democratic Party of my youth is long gone, having become controlled by liberals, progressives and secularists. Our Democrat president and Senate support abortions and use of abortifacients and condoms. The Democrat Party leaders want no mention of God in their party platform, strongly support Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to an abortion, and want respect as well as traditional marriage benefits for same-sex relationships.

I cancelled my membership in the Democratic Party believing it would support such an agenda and I might be influencing others away from God. "Whoever causes one of these little ones (child, or adult, a pure simple soul) ... into stumble, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." (Matthew 18:6)

Is quoting the Bible now becoming hate speech? Increasing contemptuous boldness describes present bashing of the Christian faith.
