I have had the privilege of teaching with Sue Boldra for more than 20 years. In that time, I grew to respect her teaching ethics and personal ethics. Sue is a hard worker who has raised four great children and has taught more than 4,000 students.

Sue taught American government with a love and fervor for the U.S. Constitution and the principles that founded this nation. She instilled in her students the idea that this country was founded on the idea that each person has the opportunity to speak out and be part of "We the People."

Time has made the process of political activism harder to obtain. Big politics takes big money, lobbyists and knowing the "right people." With a 30-second ad on television costing $700 and mailing of a pamphlet to 200,000 people costing $60,000, it is very hard to obtain a position in politics without a great deal of money. But Sue has made every effort to get her message out to the 1st District. She doesn't want to be a career politician.

She believes in term limits. She is concerned for the small businessman and farmer having experience in each of these fields. She knows health care must be available and affordable for all Kansans. She is an advocate for reduced federal intervention as intended through state's rights guarantee found in the 10th Amendment of the Constitution and Article IV of the U.S Constitution.

Please, citizens of the Big 1st District, support Sue Boldra on Tuesday. Let's show Kansas that money doesn't always rule. There are still a core of values that can be advanced without money.
