Shame on you, Sue Boldra!

This letter is in response to the three (and probably more to come) negative flyers that have been sent out by Sue Boldra's party against her opponent, Eber Phelps. Sue was a government teacher -- and very well-respected by many students, including my son. But is this what she taught her government students? That it is OK to publish material that includes flat-out lies?

I'm extremely disappointed that Sue would authorize such propaganda. I think this is a clear indication of the candidate that we need to elect back into the 111th House seat -- Eber Phelps. Eber has proven during the past years his dedication to us citizens of Hays by being a strong advocate for education, voting for a fair system of taxes, supporting responsible reforms designed to make government more cost effective, and supporting sensible laws that allow you to use your guns for hunting and self protection.

Eber is honest, trustworthy and displays his integrity by running a positive campaign. I urge you to learn more about both candidates and how they stand on the important issues by watching the Phelps/Boldra debate on KOOD (PBS) to be aired again at 3 p.m. Sunday or by going online to: www.shptv.org/index.php/events/383-kansas-candidates-2012.

Playing dirty politics is not a way to win my vote. I ask voters of the 111th District to keep that in mind when they go to the polls on Tuesday. I believe that Eber Phelps deserves your vote.
