No middle ground
Mr. Lowry, in your editorial dated Feb. 17, you pay Sen. Evan Bayh's centrist approach was necessary for the economy, taxes, social issues and security matters. There is no such thing as a centrist Democrat. They are all leftist liberals. What world did you come from?
Since Obama came along, every Democrat senator voted for every damn bill that came down the pike from the left side of the aisle. Why did he not vote against health care bill, cap-and-trade, the stimulus package, global warming taxes and God knows what else? He knew all this was a scam. Maybe he has seen the light and abandoned a sinking ship.
The Democrats' loss in the Senate is the conservative people's gain. Not once did a Democrat senator or congressman ask the Republicans what they thought of these bills. The public didn't buy into this crap, yet the Democrats still pushed everything through without any Republican input. Boy, now that is what I call centrist.
