Does anyone else get a kick out of the term "Mama Grizzlies?" It's being used to describe strong, conservative Republican women candidates in this year's primaries and the fall election.

We do have a strong, constitutionally well-informed, capable and dedicated woman running in the Kansas First Congressional District Republican primary on Tuesday.

Sue Boldra taught the Constitition in high school American government classes for more than 25 years. She knows how things are supposed to work. Her experience thinking on her feet, engaging the minds of her students in the principles that have made America the land of freedom and beacon of hope for the whole world, and at the same time managing a room full of juveniles may be just what we need in Congress. Think First Amendment.

Next: Think Second Amendment. Sue and her husband happen to have owned and operated a sporting goods store during those same years.

That Sue is energetic and capable is further evidenced by her role in raising four children and her continuing management of her family's farm in McPherson County.

I am a pro-life voter. I have personally questioned Sue on her trustworthiness on this issue, which has not been especially emphasized by any of the candidates. She correctly pointed out that the U.S. House of Representatives has very little role in the abortion issue as it now stands. It has been imposed on this country by the Supreme Court. The president appoints Supreme Court justices and it is the Senate; not the House, which confirms them. But she assured me she is pro-life and would vote that way when she can.

Here's another item from the Constitution: The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment. Article 1.2.5

We really do urgently need the best person we can get in Congress. Please consider Sue Boldra for your vote Tuesday.
